Stable Tours
French Lick Resort,
French Lick, IN
Reservations required, please contact for more info. For a firsthand glimpse of what life is like in the Stables, they’ll show you the ropes. Stop by The Stables and meet some of the 27 horses, learn about the operations and have any of your questions answered by the Stables staff. Saddle up for a look behind the scenes!

First Day of Spring!
Yay!
The first official day of spring (marked by the March or [vernal] equinox) is when the sun shines directly on the celestial equator. Passing from south to north, the length of day and night are almost the same. This is referred to as astronomical spring! No matter what you call it, let's celebrate by planting something! National Park Spring Blooms Tour
While you can enjoy the display from afar, the best way to see the budding beauty of Spring is a walk, jog or leisurely bike ride along from a National Park trail! Chose one or several, and bring a wide angle and a telephoto lens to capture the breadth of the park's display and the unique details of every bloom! Let our favorite Travel Agent put together a package for you!

Last Chance 4H Sign ups!
No Fooling!
While it is encouraged to sign up for 4H as soon as possible (suggested between October and January) to get the most out of the program, we would still LOVE to see your child participate! Most 4H fairs start in July, so this is the time to get a last minute project done and entered into the fair! 4-H is open to all youth in almost all states and counties.

The Battle of Pleasant Hill, Louisiana
The Battle of Pleasant Hill was fought on April 9, 1864, during the Red River Campaign of the American Civil War, near the site of this historic battle reenactment. We will NOT be at this event, but it is a pivotal historical moment. If you would like to attend this event, and need accommodations, contact our Travel Agent and tell her we sent you for a bonus!

Battle of Mobile Bay
Dauphin Island , Alabama
The Battle of Mobile Bay at Fort Gaines is a must-see civil war reenactment event for history lovers and enthusiasts alike. Held at the historic Fort Gaines in Alabama, this event commemorates one of the most significant battles of the Civil War. We will NOT be demonstrating at this event, but we are sure you would enjoy it!

Bridgeton, IN
Join us for our first event of the season at this living history reenactment: featuring 1750-1840 life with period clothing and encampments. Cool Creek Forge WILL have a full demonstration, many education opportunities, and household items for sale. As always, time period dress is not required, but always welcome! Hope to see you there!

Billie Creek Village Civil War
Rockville, IN
Welcome back to historic Billie Creek Village for the 1st annual Civil War re-enactment in over a decade! Rediscover all the things you loved, or if it's your first time, find out why everyone loves it here! We WILL be demonstrating at this event, so come join us (and many others!) as we create living history. Visit the General Store, the current restoration of the village, and watch a battle or two! We look forward to seeing you there!

Civil War Encampment
Spring Mill
State Park
Mitchell, IN
The Pioneer Village will be open from 11:00am until 3:00pm with the featured event being a tactical battle at 2:00pm on both Saturday and Sunday. See how people lived, how camps functioned, and listen to Lincoln! Both before and after the battle, visitors are welcome to tour the village and visit with the soldiers.
We will NOT be demonstrating at this event, but you will need to pay a park entrance fee if you go.

There are so many battle sites across Missouri, as it was so centrally located in the US. This reenactment promises Civil War Camps, drills, demonstrations, and many other activities. We will NOT be demonstrating at this event, but think you might still enjoy it!

This well established encampment invites the public to enjoy story telling, demonstrations, and representations of the time periods panning from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. We will NOT be demonstrating at this event, but you should go enjoy all the activities!

This is our BIGGEST demonstration of the year! Join us Labor Day weekend for tons of events, games, food, and of course re-enactments!
We WILL be set up in "Historic Americana" with our mid-Victorian style Forge, doing demonstrations, teaching, and will have lots of items you can purchase!

Trimble County Apple Festival
Bedford, KY
We WILL be demonstrating at this event! Music, crafts, pageants, food, contests, and kids activities. The mission of this Apple Festival is to raise funds for local schools and community projects which support the betterment of Trimble County citizens. Come by and experience our Forge! Join us at the return of one of our favorite Civil War events! This reenactment features hundreds of soldiers and civilians, as well as sutlers! Come for a day full of life in the mid-1800's, witness a battle reenactment, and stay for the night firing of the cannons! We WILL be demonstrating, so come see us!

Join living historians, like ourselves, at this historic battleground. Militia will be showing rifle and cannon demonstrations, participate in civilian life, and listen to lectures throughout the weekend. We WILL be demonstrating at this event, so we hope to see you there!
